Even though Olten is not a big city, there're several places where you can hang out and meet new people. First of all, I will dearly recommend you to try Galicia Bar which is a bar near to the school and not so far from the staff house (15mins by walk). Here, you can enjoy a drink, play pool or show to the crowd your incredible dancing skills. The atmosphere is very warm and you'll be amazed by the catalog of beers offered!
There are plenty of other bars in Olten but Galicia is my favorite one from far.
There is only one Nightclub in the city named Terminus. As Galicia, Terminus is close to the school and the Staff House which is perfect for the lazy students! Thanks to the , you'll be able to enter for free or for half of the price to the different Terminus'event. Isn't it marvelous?
If you want to experience new party places, you can go outside of Olten. Zürich and Basel are the closest cities from Olten. Both cities have nice clubs and bars but I would recommend you to choose Basel for the trains schedule.There are more Basel-Olten trains during the nights which doesn't force you to watch your clock every 30 minutes to check if you're on time for the last train of the night.
